How much does roof repair cost in Brooklyn?
It depends on the roof type, the size of the damaged area and how easy the roof is to reach. A small flashing or seam repair costs far less than repairing water-damaged decking. We give a free written estimate after inspecting the roof. [Owner: add your typical price range for small, medium and large repairs]
Can you repair a roof leak the same day?
Often, yes. We are open 7 days from 7 AM to 11 PM, and for active leaks we can usually install a temporary patch or tarp the same day, then return for the permanent repair. [Owner to confirm same-day policy]
Why does my roof only leak in heavy rain?
Leaks that appear only in heavy or wind-driven rain usually come from flashing, parapet walls, coping or a drain that backs up when flow is high. Light rain does not reach those weak points. A roofer has to inspect those areas directly.
Can a roof leak be repaired without replacing the roof?
Yes, in most cases. If the rest of the roof is in good shape, repairing the flashing, seam or penetration that is leaking is the right fix. Replacement only makes sense when the roofing has failed over a large area.
Do you offer 24-hour emergency roof repair?
Our phone hours are 7 AM to 11 PM, 7 days a week. [Owner: confirm whether you take calls after 11 PM; if yes, update hours on Google and here]
Can you fix a roof in the rain?
Permanent repairs need a dry surface, but a temporary patch or tarp can usually be installed to stop water coming in until conditions allow a proper repair.
How long does a flat roof last?
InterNACHI's estimated life expectancy chart lists EPDM at 15–25 years, TPO at 7–20 years, modified bitumen at about 20 years and built-up roofing at about 30 years, assuming regular maintenance. Installation quality, drainage and upkeep make the biggest difference.

How do I know if my chimney flashing is leaking?
Water stains on the ceiling or wall beside the chimney, especially after heavy or wind-driven rain, are the most common sign. On the roof, look for lifted, rusted or caulk-covered flashing.
Can chimney flashing be repaired, or does it need replacing?
Small gaps can sometimes be resealed, but rusted or poorly installed flashing should be replaced with properly integrated step and counter-flashing.
Why do my gutters overflow?
Overflow is usually caused by clogs, gutters pitched the wrong way, undersized gutters or leaders, or a blocked leader underground.
Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
Not always. If the gutters are in good shape they can stay, but a roof replacement is a good time to fix pitch, add capacity or replace damaged sections.
Why is my skylight leaking?
The most common causes are failed flashing or sealant around the curb, a cracked curb, or condensation that looks like a leak. An inspection tells which one it is.
Should I replace or repair a leaking skylight?
If the unit is sound and the leak is at the flashing, repair. If the glazing or frame has failed, or the roof is being replaced, a new skylight is usually the better choice.
